Sara Murillo Cortes works as a freelance photographer and editor for various television companies. She has made two short documentaries "Sin Disparar Un Solo Tiro" and "Wake me in Stavanger" and has studied at the Media Institut´s TV-production Program in Sweden and art at the University of Stockholm 2002-2003.

The Wretched of the Earth is Sara's first feature length documentary. The film is directed together with Tigran Feiler.
